Huntingtown, MD – The family of a Calvert County man reported missing Nov. 7 reported Nov. 8 on social media that he died in a motor vehicle crash. The family did not divulge where the incident occurred. Ernest Cleo Tolley, 81 of Huntingtown, had dementia, his family and the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

On Facebook, a family member wrote –“Dear Friends, We are reaching out to you again now with tremendous grief. Tragically our father was in a car accident and did not survive. We appreciate all of your support in helping us to find him and we are comforted to know you will keep our family in your prayers. We are currently sorting out the details for his Memorial service and we will post details as soon as possible. We are asking for time as we deal with this as a family.”

The man’s disappearance and death are being investigated by the Maryland State Police.

Huntingtown, MD – On Nov. 7, at 11:40 a.m., the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported that Ernest Cleo Tolley, an 81-year-old, white male from Huntingtown is missing.

It should be noted that Tolley suffers from dementia and was last seen on Nov. 6 at his home on Holland Dr. in Huntingtown. Authorities describe Tolley last seen wearing glasses, brown pants, brown shoes, brown t-shirt with a deer emblem, and a light blue jacket. He may also be wearing a blue VFW baseball hat. 

Tolley may be in a green Toyota Highlander.
