At 3:45 p.m. Nov. 1, Dfc. Gary Shrawder conducted a traffic stop on Governor’s Run Road in Port Republic.  The driver of the vehicle, Andre J. Riddle, 22, of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II drug.

At 4:47 p.m. Nov. 3, Trooper Towers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on Rt. 2/4, in Prince Frederick.

Upon contact with the operator, Michael Harry Coyle, 19, of St. Leonard, TPR Towers detected the odor of suspected marijuana.

Assisted by TFC Murphy, a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.

Coyle was placed under arrest at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia.  After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

At 10:07 p.m. Nov. 3, TFC Koch stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 260 in Owings.

The operator, Carroll Alex Daniel Fulwood, 23, of Mitchellville, was subsequently arrested for DUI, processed, and transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was recovered. Fulwood was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana.

At 11 p.m. Nov. 3, Cpl. Darron Makrokanis conducted a traffic stop on Md. Rt. 4 at Dares Beach Road.

A passenger in the vehicle, a juvenile, was found to have suspected marijuana in his possession. The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report and released to the custody of his mother.

At 4:15 p.m. Oct. 27, Trooper Laziuck responded to Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick to assist CPL Moschetto, CCSO, with a motorist who had broken down.

Investigation led to the discovery of a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana in the vehicle.

Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were Joseph Albert Nelms, 29, of Hughesville, and Richard Scott McGhee, 26, of Waldorf.

After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

At 12:53 a.m. Oct. 31, Trooper Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

After detecting the odor of suspected marijuana, a K-9 scan was conducted by Deputy Smith, CCSO.

During the scan, a baggie of suspected marijuana was located on the operator, Steven Allen Dailey, 20, of Ft. Washington. Dailey was placed under arrest at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

At 9:20 p.m. Oct. 31, Dep. Richard Cox was dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Hallowing Lane trailer park on Route 231 in Prince Frederick.

The driver, later identified as Michael A. Goldring, Jr. 19, of Huntingtown, was found to have suspected marijuana in his possession. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

DFC John J. “Marty” McCarroll, while investigating suspect information in a case, learned that the suspect was also currently wanted on a warrant.
