RIDGE, Md. – On February 9, 2021, at approximately 4:23 p.m., fire and rescue personnel was dispatched to the Dollar General store at the 13000 block of Point Lookout Road in Ridge for the reported odor of gas in the building.
Units entered the Dollar General store, Ridge Market and USPS Post Office and metered the interior for gas.
Another crew searched the exterior area to investigate the propane tank and heating units.
The firefighters reported that the propane tanks had depleted and were empty. After further investigation it was determined that the building was safe for re-entry. Units cleared at 4:53 p.m.
