On Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 12:10am, Tpr. E. R. Mersman conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Maryland Route 235 for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle the operator was identified as Buffy Marie Moore, 41, of Lexington Park. Two passengers in the vehicle advised they did not have identification and provided their name and date of birth. It was later determined that both subjects provided false names. Searches through both METERS/NCIC and local databases ultimately led to the positive identification of both subjects. During interaction with both the passengers and driver, CDS was observed in the vehicle. Arrested for Possession of CDS – Marijuana was Buffy Moore and a male juvenile, 17, of Lexington Park. Ms. Moore was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged and processed accordingly. The juvenile was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed and released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.
