On Aug. 6 at 10:52 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 3000 block of St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf for the report of an attempted robbery.
Investigation revealed the victim was in the parking lot of the Quik Shop when the suspect approached, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse. The suspect fled without obtaining anything. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
