The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County are seeking an ex-officio member to serve on the EDC. One of the Commission’s major responsibilities includes approving the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), a plan for diversifying the county’s economy. The commissioners are seeking to include the contributions of a young professional in the community to fill this important role.
Some important details … you should live and/or work in St. Mary’s County. If appointed, you will serve a three-year term and should be able to attend EDC evening meetings as scheduled. As with all appointees, if selected, you will be subject to the St. Mary’s County Code of Ethics, which includes filing the required financial disclosure.
