SOLOMONS, Md. — A man from Avenue was charged with trespassing after Calvert County Sheriff’s deputies say he returned to the Tiki Bar in Solomons against the directive of on-site security and law enforcement.
According to the statement of probable cause filed in Calvert County District Court, law enforcement responded to the Tiki Bar on the evening of April 26, 2025, around 11:14 p.m., following a report of a fight. While the altercation had broken up by the time deputies arrived, officers remained on scene to assist with clearing the premises and ensuring the crowd dispersed peacefully.
During this time, a member of the bar’s security staff informed Deputy McCourt that an individual—later identified as Jeremiah Robert Jameson, 18—had been previously removed from the premises and explicitly told not to return.
Deputies located Jameson and reminded him that he was barred from re-entering the property. The report notes that Jameson appeared intoxicated, smelled strongly of alcohol, and had difficulty complying with verbal orders. Despite the warning, he allegedly walked back onto the property minutes later and began engaging with another individual near the venue.
Deputy McCourt states that he attempted to detain Jameson, who at first refused to comply, pulling away as deputies attempted to handcuff him. While being escorted to the patrol vehicle, Jameson reportedly pushed back against the officer but was ultimately secured and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center without further incident.
Jameson was formally charged with trespass on private property, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $500 fine under Maryland law.
The incident was recorded on body-worn camera, and the case has been assigned to Calvert County District Court. A trial is scheduled for June 30.
