Edward Matthew Hope, Jr., 57, of Ridgeway, Missouri, formerly of Bryans Road, MD, Jan. 27, 2004 at the Heartland Medical Center in St. Joseph’s, Missouri. Ed, enjoyed motorcycles and rock and roll music and his famous Bar-B-Ques. He served in the US Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Born August 18, 1946 in Falls Church, VA. He was the son of the late Gladys M. Hill-Hope and Edward M. Hope of Merritt Island, FL. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Joshua Hope and Matthew Hope; daughter, Michelle Hope; brother, Robert Hope, of West Virginia; sisters, Alice Pickett, of Port Tobacco, MD, Elizabeth Hope of Eastpointe, Michigan; siblings, Tom, George, Andrew, Peggy, Nancy, Mary and Patricia Hope, Randy, Scott and Anthony DEonahue from Bryans Road, MD and numerous other relatives. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbors in Ridgeway. A memorial servce will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD. Interment will follow with Military Honors at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Legion Riders annual ride to the Wall, Vietnam Memorial % Edwin Adams, Post 293, 2400 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Arrangements are being handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.
