Born on November 10, 1920 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Philip H. Jones Sr. and Margurite Ross Jones. Mr. Jones was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 1940 until Dec. 1944 receiving the American Defense Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and the American Defense Medal.
He is survived by his wife Isabel M. Lusk Jones of Tall Timbers, MD, a daughter, Marylou Martin of Tall Timbers, MD, a son, John W. Jones of White Plains, NY, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a sister, Jean Thew of Bolivia, NC and a brother, James Jones of Grass Valley, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Philip H. Jones III, a daughter, Margaret M. Lanza and a brother, Robert Jones.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of The Ascension in Parksburg, PA. Interment will follow in the Lawncraft Cemetery in Linwood, PA.
