Jo Anne Elizabeth Shearer, 75, of Fort McCoy, FL, passed away on May 5, 2016, at the Ted and Diane Brandley House, in Summerfield FL.

Jo Anne was born on March 3, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harold S. and Dorothy K. Nasky Wheeler.

Jo Anne worked as a Librarian for the Charles County Public Library in La Plata, MD and then as a Deputy Elections Officer for the Supervisor of Elections in Ocala, FL. Jo Anne was a kindhearted person who loved helping people. She enjoyed going to the beach, watching movies, vacationing, amusement parks, and the Holidays, especially Christmas, however, her greatest love was for her family.

Surviving Jo Anne is her husband, Dennis Gary Shearer, her children, Ralph John Grieninger, Jr. (Sherri) of Meridian, Idaho, Diane Denise Harding (Ray) of California, MD, Brian Keith Grieninger (Angela) of Brandywine, MD, Michael Shearer of Ocala, FL, Angela Grieninger of Ocala, FL and Sunni Martinez (Ramon) of Orlando, FL. , seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Carrie Grieninger of King George, VA.

In addition, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jeffrey Thomas Grieninger and Paul Allen Grieninger, a grandson, Raymond A. Harding, III, a great granddaughter, Bailey Marie Bernard, and two brothers, John Vernon Wheeler and Harold Wheeler.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. David Beaubien at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 22800 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be in Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650.

Pallbearers will be, Ralph John Grieninger, Jr., Brian Keith Grieninger, Daniel Edward Harding, Brian Keith Grieninger, II, Jesse James Grieninger and Daniel Allen Johnson.
