Henry Edwin Youngs, 77 of Hollywood, MD died on Tuesday January 14, 2003 at the University Specialty Hospital, Baltimore, MD.

He was born on July 13, 1925 in Waterloo, NY the son of the late Edwin G. and Neva Howard Lee Youngs.

Mr. Youngs served his country in the United States Marines Corps from May 19, 1944 until August 14, 1946. He participated in action against the enemy at Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands and in the occupation of China. He was wounded in action on June 6, 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He worked as a banker for Chase Bank, and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD.

His wife Gwendolyn Signor Youngs whom he married in Queens, NY on August 5, 1978, a son Scott E. Youngs, of Hollywood, MD survives him.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 22, 2003 at 11:00 am at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 22800 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend Rory Conley will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
