The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners announces the following office and facility closures for the July 4 weekend.
· All Calvert County government offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
· The Calvert Pines, Southern Pines, and North Beach senior centers will be closed Friday, July 3, and reopen Monday, July 6. For seniors receiving Meals on Wheels, meals will be delivered on July 3.
· All Calvert County community centers and libraries will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
· There will be no Calvert County bus service on Friday, July 3. The regular bus service schedule will resume Saturday, July 4.
· All solid waste facilities will be open for regular hours Friday, July 3, and will be closed Saturday, July 4. Facilities normally open on Sundays – Appeal Landfill and the Mt. Hope and Barstow customer convenience centers – will re-open Sunday, July 5, for regular business hours.
