Guns Stolen from Shed
Sometime between 11 a.m. on Sept. 18 and 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 19, suspect(s) forced entry into a shed at a residence in the 5200 block of Chicamuxen Road in Indian Head, stole a 12 gauge Express Magnum shotgun and a 12 gauge Mosberg shotgun and fled the scene.

Burglar Caught Red-Handed
On Sept. 19 at 12:03 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Greater Metro Orthopedic at 11325 Pembrooke Square, Suite 115, in Waldorf for the intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed a man walking out the front door of the business.
When the man saw the officers, he returned to the entryway of the office, placed an object under a rug, and then walked toward the officers with his hands up.
The officers detained the man and conducted further investigation. Officers found evidence of forced entry through a window. Inside, the officers found evidence of an unsuccessful attempt to force entry into a closet in the office. The object under the rug was found to be a crowbar.
Officers identified the man as Jack Harold Culp, 46, of Mechanicsville and charged him with second degree burglary, destruction of property more than $500 and possession of burglary tools. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the
District Court Commissioner. Officer A. St. Germain investigated.

Ski Mask Attire Arouses Suspicion of Stolen ATV
On Sept. 17 at 12:43 a.m., Officer P. McDonald observed a man with a black ski mask pulled over his face driving an ATV on St. George’s Drive near Edenvale Court in Waldorf. Believing the ATV could be stolen, Officer McDonald attempted to stop the ATV but the driver fled to the rear of Eva Turner Elementary School on Bannister Circle in Waldorf, where officers ended their pursuit.
The man is described as a white male in his teens or early 20s and was wearing a red T-shirt. The ATV was red and white.

Attempted Burglary at Bobcat Home
Sometime between 12 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 12, suspects(s) forced entry into a residence in the 6000 block of Bobcat Court in Waldorf. It does not appear anything was stolen from the residence.
