Lexington Park, MD – Democrat Brian Crosby began seeking the House of Delegates seat representing District 29B well over a year before the 2018 General Election. The Pennsylvania native and U.S. Army veteran announced last September that he would challenge incumbent Republican Deb Rey.

In addition to five years of service as an Army Ranger, Crosby holds a law degree and serves as the Southern Maryland representative of and deputy director for the Maryland Veterans Council.

The big issues for Crosby include infrastructure—including roads, bridges and other transportation challenges—and providing St. Mary’s County with access to highspeed broadband. The candidate also wants to see the state provide public education institutions the necessary resources to enhance job readiness for students, encourage economic diversity, support the state’s agriculture community, expand mental health services and housing opportunities for veterans and expand tourism in St. Mary’s County.

Recently, Crosby visited the offices and studio of TheBayNet.com to talk about his ongoing campaign. His vision for improving area transportation is discussed in the video.
