HOLLYWOOD, MD — If community members missed out this weekend, the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting another weekend of their annual Carnival. The first weekend was July 7 through July 10, and the second will be July 14 through July 18.

For a small admission fee, event-goers can get their carnival experience and help raise money for the volunteer fire department. Games, rides, refreshments and more were available for a night of family fun.

Multiple games were available, including ring tossing games, craps and games similar to the Wheel of Fortune.

Attendees can expect short waiting times for rides to spin, jolt and twist them around. Children will enjoy slower rides similar to merry-go-rounds, and adults can opt for the tilt-a-whirl rides and the Ferris Wheel.

Carnival treats–such as buttery popcorn, fluffy cotton candy, sweet ice cream cones, juicy snow cones, ‘hot off the grill’ hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as cheesy pizza–were available for purchase. Cold canned soda, beer and bottled water was also available.

On July 10, the Treasure Chest raffle will be hosted to include multiple prizes. There are also nightly prizes available every night of the carnival, including three girls’ and boys’ bikes each.
