Born November 14, 1924, in St. Mary’s City, MD, he was the son of the late James and Julia Courtney.
Mr. Courtney was a laborer for a Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife Mary Robinson Courtney of Lexington Park, MD, children;
Charles R. Courtney, of Eastern Shore, MD, Mary Ann Courtney, Brandon Adams and Lanie Scott all of Lexington Park, MD, Joyce Fenwick of Ridge, MD and Milton and Benny Fluellen of Buffalo, NY, siblings; Lottie Dove of Park Hall, MD, Christine Fenwick of Lexington Park, MD, Margaret Kelly of Park Hall, MD, Doris Briscoe Ratchford of Park Hall, MD and Agnes Thomas of Delware, MD. In addition to his parents Mr. Courtney was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Family will receive friends from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in Park Hall True Holiness Church where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11am with Pastor Phillip Spence officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
