Born September 9, 1939 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Augustine and Ruby Mavars Simpson.A resident of St. Mary?s County for the past 30 years, Mr. Simpson was a salesman for Earls Auto Parts and worked in the Auto Parts industry for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, boating but more importantly his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Simpson.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine C. Simpson; son John A. and his wife Leeann of Hampton, VA; brothers Charles Simpson of Spotsylvania, Freddy Simpson of Tennessee and Steve Simpson of Mechanicsville, MD; grandchildren Lacy and John Simpson, Jr.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 10, 2004 from 2 to 8PM with Services at 7:30PM with the Reverend John Dorsey officiating, at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Interment will be private.
