Brian Keith Redoute, 58, of Rainbow Springs, FL, formerly of St. Georgeโ€™s Island, passed away June 19, 2016 at Hospice House of Marion County in Ocala, FL.

He was born November 20, 1957, in Detroit, MI to Ann Redoute of Harrison Township, MI and the late Edward George Redoute.

In 1975, Brian graduated from Carl Brablec High School in Roseville, MI. He joined the U.S. Merchant Marines and after 20 years of dedicated service retired as an Able Body Seaman in 2001. During his service as a Merchant Marine, he was a world traveler. Some of his favorite travels included Barcelona and Singapore. He attended Aircraft Mechanics School in Philadelphia, PA and was employed for over 5 years as an aircraft mechanic with Timco Aviation in Lake City, FL. On November 13, 1994, he married his beloved wife, Caroline Clark Redoute in Mount Dora, FL. Together they celebrated over 21 wonderful years of marriage. He loved spending time on the water and enjoyed fishing, boating, and canoeing. He also enjoyed doing yard work, watching old Western movies, and Biblical shows.ย 

In addition to his loving mother and wife, Brian is also survived by his daughter, Brandi Lee of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; his siblings, Karen Small (David) of Fraser, MI, Bruce Edward Redoute (Peggy) of Clinton Township, MI, Barry Redoute (Caroline) of Harrison Township, MI, Kathleen Ahlstrom of Chesterfield, MI, Bennett Redoute (Linda) of Shelby Township, MI, and Bradley Redoute of Harrison Township, MI; his step-children, Holly Gohl of Valley Lee, MD, Blake Roland Ghiloni of Piney Point, MD and Kurri Hess of Denton, TX; and seven step-grandchildren, Jett Ghiloni, Nashton Ghiloni, Brandon Gohl, Taylor Smith, Kaitlin Smith, Caden Hess, and Austin Hess. He is preceded in death by his father.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service celebrated by Reverend Tiffany Patterson at 11:00 a.m., at First Saint United Methodist Church, St. Georgeโ€™s Island in Piney Point, MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Redoute, Barry Redoute, Bennett Redoute, Bradley Redoute, David Small, and Leland Neaves.
