Born of June 1, 1989 in La Plata, MD, she was the daughter of Shellie Otte of California, MD and Rodney Mercer of Bristol, TN. Britiany was a student at Calvert High School. She attended Oakville Elementary, Esperanza Middle, and also Great Mills High School.
In addition to her parents, Britiany is also survived by two sisters, Melisa Mercer and Destiny Shumaker, fiancée, Charlie Hankins, aunt & uncle, Sherry & David Kohan, grandparents, Grace & Frank Shumaker, Frank & Retha Mercer. Britiany will be dearly missed by all. She had a love for life. She was extremely ambitions and had the will and determination to accomplish anything she set out to do. She always brought sunshine to everyone she came in contact with.
Family and friends were welcomed for remembrance on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. in The Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Funeral Services will be held today, May 9, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Ron Collier officiated. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
