Darrel Guy Testerman, 66, of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Baltimore and Wicomico Shores, died December 20, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown. Born June 3, 1943 in Mouth of Wilson, VA, he was the son of the late Lafayette Guy Testerman and Stella Owen Testerman. Mr. Testerman was a Building Engineer for the Federal Government serving as Architect of the Capitol.

Mr. Testerman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved to fish and hunt. He loved NASCAR Racing and the Potomac Speedway Dirt Track. A person who loved the outdoors, he could be found cutting and splitting wood or riding his 4-wheeler. He loved watching the game show, Jeopardy, and was good at answering the questions.

Besides his parents, Mr. Testerman was predeceased by his brother, Richard Testerman .He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jane Parks Testerman; his mother, Stella Owens Testerman; sons, Darrel Guy Testerman, Jr. and David Wayne Testerman(Julie); brothers, Ronald Testerman (Joyce), Roger Testerman (Donna); sisters, Sue Smith (Richard) and Laveta O’Brien and 5 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Darrel’s Life Celebration on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield-Echols Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
