Dwayne Anthony Butler “Wayne” departed this life peacefully early on Thursday July 7, 2016 at Georgetown University Hospital of Washington D.C.
Wayne was born March 3, 1965 in Leonardtown MD to Catherine Ann Butler and the late James Vincent Butler Jr.
Wayne was educated in the St. Mary’s County Public School system. After school he began working as a cook at various restaurants. The one he enjoyed most was “The Roost” in Lexington Park MD. His last place of employment was Nicolletti’s Pizza in California MD before becoming disabled.
Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family especially his great nieces Kirnique Swales and Carlysia Thomas. He also enjoyed cooking, listening to music, going to the racetrack and working moma’s nerves.
Wayne leaves to cherish is daughter Tiara Butler of Lusby MD. Two grandchildren, A’mani Munford and Theodore Janey IV. Two brother’s Wayne Herbert (Patra) of Bushwood MD and James “Calvin” Butler of Bushwood MD. Two special nieces’ who are more like his sister’s Jokisha Tansimore and Dominique Thomas. He also leaves to cherish a special friend Peggy Jones and a host of other family and friends.
Wayne was predeceased in death by his father James Vincent Butler, Jr., son DeAnthony Butler, Paternal grandparents James Vincent Butler, Sr. and Florence G Butler. Maternal grandparents James H Herbert and Martha K Herbert, and a sister Belinda M. Butler.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend Anthony Lickteig at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 21340 Colton Point Road, Avenue, MD 20609. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
