Edward B. Kaminski, Jr. 60, of Mechanicsville, MD, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2014 at Hospice House of Charles County, MD, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 30, 1953 in Nanticoke, PA he was the son of Edward B. Kaminski and Lillian F. Kaminski.
Ed graduated from Potomac Senior High School in 1971, earned an AA from PG Community College in 1977, and earned a BA in Business Management in January 2003 from St. Leo University.

Ed worked for National Tire Wholesale (owned by Sears) from May of 1978 to May of 1999, working his way up from manager trainee to Executive Vice President. Sears consolidated the Tire America and National Tire Warehouse brands in 1977, and then sold the brand to TBC in 2003. Ed loved traveling around the country and meeting all the employees in the NTW stores; discussing their issues and helping them with their problems. He was grateful to be in a position to make a difference. After the spin-off of NTW, Ed worked as an insurance agent, executive recruiter, and merchandising manager. He never found any other position to be as challenging as the one he had with NTW.

Ed was a talented artist, loved NASCAR and reading. In his early years, he studied the martial art of Wado-Ryu, a Japanese style of Karate; Shudo-Kan, a Japanese style of Karate from Okinawa, and Moo-Duk-Kwan. Throughout his life of sixty years, he touched so many lives and brought so many people joy. His brother and sister will miss him dearly.

Ed is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Lillian Kaminski. Ed is lovingly remembered by his brother John, sister Karen, brother-in-law Frank, Choci Norma and Uncle John, Choci Henka, and his high school friend of 30 years, James Sedgwick.
