Edwin was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada June 30, 1914 and was brought to Boston, MA about 4 years later. He was married to Elisabeth A. McCall, who preceded him to the Lord on April 7, 2000. Edwin was a member of the United Church of Christ in Tavares, FL where he and Elisabeth were active members. Since coming to Maryland in 2002, Edwin attended the Lexington Park United Methodist Church. He had recently lived in Mount Dora, FL; Jaffrey, NH and Waltham, MA. He was a veteran of the Massachusetts National Guard?s 110th Cavalry Regiment and received an honorable discharge in 1938. Edwin was a tool and die machinist most of his carer and retired as a customer service representative for Bookstone Co.
He is survived by his children; Vaughn McCall of Lexington Park, MD; Bruce McCall of Peterborough, NH; Terry Cook of Waltham, MA; Lorna Rabbit of Newton, MA and a stepson, Joseph Diab, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Lexington Park United Methodist Church, Lexington Park, MD. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Ken Walker will conduct the service. Interment will be private.
