Elizabeth Jane (Lizzie) Shorter, 51, of Baltimore, MD passed away June 19, 2020 at Perring Parkway Center.
She was born on January 24, 1969 in Baltimore, MD to Mary Jane Shorter of Towson, MD and the late Andrew Bean Shorter.
Lizzie was sweet and loving. She loved being with people, especially her family, and enjoyed having people talk with her. She was always “daddy’s girl.” She enjoyed watching television and movies and attending Unified Community Connections. She also liked being pushed in her wheelchair by her father for their “after dinner strolls.” She was much loved by her family, and all who cared for her at Perring Parkway Center and UCC.
In addition to her beloved mother, Lizzie is also survived by her brother, Andrew Lee Shorter (Barbara) of Millsboro, DE and Mary Catherine Shorter (Reza Fahimi) of Fallston, MD; her nieces and nephews: Heather Amato, Ian Amato (Christina), Nina Depkin (Lee) and Ali Fahimi; her great nieces and nephews: Parisa Depkin, Keira Depkin, Avery Amato, Andrew Amato and Matthew Amato; and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow at St. George’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Valley Lee, MD.
