Erlene Warren Gay, 88 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on August 24, 2020 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, in Leonardtown, MD.
She was born on March 19, 1932 in Gastonia, NC. She was the daughter of the late Loyd Jackson Warren and Rose Zula Stowe.
Once retired, Erlene traveled throughout the country and the world. She enjoyed going to Blackwater Falls in West Virginia and beach trips with her family. The most important thing was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren creating wonderful memories and watching them grow.
She is survived by her children: Charles Jackson Gay (Terri) of Ellicott City; Rosalind Rowan (Scott) of Mechanicsville, MD; and daughter-in-law Vicky Gay of West Virginia; and her grandchildren Alex Rowan, Lauren Kiefert, Caitlin Rowan, Colin Rowan and Hannah Custer and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings-Evelyn, Henry, Lawson and her son Alan Gay.
To honor her life, there will be a gathering at the home of Rosalind and Scott Rowan on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
