Born on September 18, 1918 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Frank William and Florence Scherbert Richards. He was a graduate of Baden High School. He was a farmer. Some of his enjoyments were hunting, carpentry, mechanical work and loved tractors.
Survived by his wife, Ida Mae Richards whom he married in 1948, daughter, Linda M. Mersch and son, Larry F. Richards, sister, Josephine Goldsmith, all of Brandywine, MD. Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive him.
Family will receive friends on today, Friday 4, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2005. Reverend James W. Hunter will be officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarville Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
