Born on July 7, 1928 in Arnold City, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Mura Kalnasy. Mr. Kalnasy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 until 1952 receiving the Korean Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as an Electronics Technician for the U.S. Government from 1952 until 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Reithmeyer Kalnasy, whom he married on September 11, 1954 in Washington, DC, six children, George Kalnasy, Jr., Mary Kathleen Rhodes, Paul Andrew Kalnasy, Marta Patricia Bullis all of Leonardtown, MD, Khristine Ann Howard of Hughesville, MD, Patricia Ann Dabbs of Lexington Park, MD, 14 grandchildren and a sister, Veronica Ann Griffith of Ft. Washington, MD.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend Rory Conley will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Kalnasy, Michael Kalnasy, Justin Kalnasy, Christopher Kalnasy, Anthony Griffith and John Baroniak.
