He was born May 28, 1928 in LaSalle, Michigan to the late Ernest Cousino and Mable Reau. At the age of seventeen, he joined the army and was stationed at the Pentagon towards the latter part of World War II. After his discharge from the army, he stayed in Washington and attended Strayer College where he received a master?s degree in accounting. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, he entered private practice while still teaching and serving as Dean of the Night School at Strayer. He continued operating his accounting practice in Oxon Hill and, through various successful business and civic ventures, became a well-respected member of the local business community. Being a member of the Oxon Hill Lions Club since 1956, he also served on numerous other civic associations including the Knights of Columbus, The Greater Southeast Hospital Board of Directors, and was a founding member of the Fort Washington Ambulatory Care Center and the Maryland Manufactured Housing Association. He was a devout Catholic and regularly attended St. John?s Catholic Church in Hollywood, MD.
He is survived by his wife Doris L. Cousino, His children, Gerald A. ?Chip? Cousineau, Jr. Hollywood, MD, Cynthia R. Robinson of Gaithersburg, MD and Craig S. Cousineau of La Plata, MD; his sister Genelda Cousino of Troy, MI, and brothers Lavern Cousino and Howard Cousino both of Toledo, OH; and his grandchildren; Kristin and Andrew Robinson of Gaithersburg, MD, Jay, Danielle and Scott Cousineau of Hollywood, MD, and Brandon and Amanda Cousineau of La Plata, MD.

Interment church cemetery.
