Jacqueline (Jackie) Clare Hardee, 75, of Brandywine, MD passed away peacefully on July 17, 2020 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Born on September 15, 1944 in Altona, PA., Jackie was a sassy little girl with a heart of gold.
After graduating high school, Jackie became a proud mother to her beautiful daughter, Caroline. When it came time to work outside of the home, she became a bookkeeper for ParGas for over sixteen (16) years. She was a hard-working, honest woman who never rested. Although, many thought she was a work-a-holic, she considered herself a contingence employee. Even after her retirement she continued to work at Cedarville Carry-Out.
Jackie enjoyed her life. She was able to travel the country with her companion of over twenty-three (23) years, Dennis Spencer. She loved spending days on end traveling in his big-rig seeing the ever-changing landscape. Jackie loved her family more than anything in the world. She loved to spend time with her daughter, step-son and grandchildren. A wonderful cook, a fashionista and a beach-babe are only a few of the wonderful attributes Jackie possessed. The sass she was born with continued until her final days and she brought light and happiness to all those around her.
May your memories of Jackie outweigh the heartache of her passing. As you think of her smile, and infectious laugh remember she is never far away, the rustling of the wind through the trees is her whispers from heaven above.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Caroline (Kevin) Morse of Mechanicsville, MD; grandson, Ronnie Nichols of Mechanicsville, MD; companion, Dennis J. Spencer of Brandywine, MD; step-son, Benjamin H. Flerlage (Ann) of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren, Becky, Mikey and Vidalia; and great-grandchildren, Electra, Irwin, Lucas and Harleigh. She is preceded in death by her parents.
