Born on April 23, 1925 in Compton, MD he was the son of the late James Ignatius Hebb and Mary Florine Turner Hebb.
Mr. Hebb received his education from the Benjamin Banneker School. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. For many years he worked as a plumber, landscaper and truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, playing cards and telling jokes. His favorite past time was spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Mary Price of Lexington Park, MD, Agnes Price of California, MD, James Ignatius Hebb, Jr. of Leonardtown, MD, Cynthia Berry of Great Mills, MD, Carol Hebb, of Leonardtown, MD, Josephine Moses of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Hebb of Great Mills, MD, Thomas Hebb of Leonardtown, MD, Sharon Hebb of Great Mills, MD, Calvin Hebb of Leonardtown, MD, Charles Hebb of Annapolis, MD, Sonja Hebb of Lexington park, MD and Tracy Hebb of Hollywood, MD, siblings, Joseph Hebb, Great Mills, MD, Francis Hebb, of Brooklyn, NY, Mary F. Mason of Lexington Park, MD, Hortense Barnes of Hollywood, MD, Mary A. Wilkins of Lexington Park, MD, Mary E. Lucas, of Washington, DC, Delores Thomas of Compton, MD, Mary R. Gough of Compton, MD, Linda Dyson of Bryantown, MD, Ella Robinson, Washington, DC, 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Catherine Dorsey Hebb whom he married in 1949, one sister, Mary V. Jones, three brothers, Charles A. Robinson, Horace B. Robinson and Thomas L. Hebb, Sr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2004 from 1:00 until 5:00 pm at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD, www.brinsfieldfuneral.com. Prayers will be recited at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 3, 2004 at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend John Mattingly will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
