John William Hollett Jr. of Charlotte Hall, Maryland died suddenly at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD on Saturday, April 15, 2006. He was 58 years old.

He was born on April 25, 1947, in Alexandria, Virginia to Barbara E. Crabtree Hollett of Alexandria, VA and John William Hollett of Nokomis, FL. He was a member of Virginia Tech Class of 1969 and graduated with a Bachelor?s Degree in Civil Engineering. He then held numerous positions with Bechtel Corporation during his 35 years of service with them. His work involvement required him and his family to move throughout the country. Mr. Hollett was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In his spare time, Mr. Hollett enjoyed woodworking, fishing, being outdoors, especially doing yard work.

He was preceded in death by his brother Robert S. Hollett.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hollett is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet W. Hollett; daughter Michelle H. Bayless and her husband Jim of Ruther Glen, VA; son Michael W. Hollett of Blacksburg, VA; many other relatives and friends.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8PM with Services at 7PM with the Reverend Don Holman officiating at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Rd. Charlotte Hall, MD. Interment to be private.
