He was born on June 25, 1937 in Trenton, NJ, the son of the late Reuben and Geraldine Nellie Jackson Witcher.
Mr. Witcher was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Lexington Park, MD. He enjoyed playing pool.
His wife Delores Jane Mills Witcher whom he married on July 20, 1998, step-children, Diane Suter, of Rosanna, TX, Mabel Anderson of Hartford, CT and James Suter of Lexington Park, MD, three sisters, Mary Witcher of Paulsboro, NJ, Geraldine Brown of Trenton, NJ and Gloria Jordan of Bear, DE, four grandchildren, Roxanne Battle, Ellen and Michelle Mobley and Christopher Suter, two sister-in-law, Carolyn Witcher and Yvonne Rice, two brother-in-law, Herbert Jordan and Arthur Brown, two special friends, Denise Young and Ethel Nelson survive him.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 9, 2003 at the Zion United Methodist Church, 21291 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD from 4:00 until 6:30 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 pm. The Reverend Antoine Love will officiate. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at 10:00 am at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
