Kimberly “Kim”, Ann Wayland, 57, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on November 22nd. Kim was a graduate of West Virginia University, where she received both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering. For the last thirty years, she has worked for the Navy on projects involving communication and radar systems. Her Nay career began in 1983 at the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA. In 1996, Kim moved to southern Maryland and began working at the Patuxent River Navy Base. At her death, Kim was the Antenna Systems Chief Engineer of the Radar and Antenna Systems Division at Patuxent River. Kim is survived by her husband, Richard, and her two sons Robert and Mike, all of Leonardtown, MD.
