Born April 29, 1921 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Birdie Lancaster Westbrook and Frank Springs Westbrook.
He is survived by his children, Laura Applegate and her husband Robert Applegate of Rockville, MD, Sharon Starrett of Austin, TX, Susan Dent and her husband Ralph Anthony Dent of Hollywood, MD and Geoffrey Westbrook of Mechanicsville, MD; his grandchildren, Rebecca Lancaster Pratt of Houston, TX, the devoted Samuel Leighton Pratt of Hollywood, MD and Geoffrey Westbrook Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sheila Wood Westbrook, his sister Jean Westbrook, his brother Frank Westbrook, Jr., and his son-in-law Gordon Starrett and daughter-in-law Constance Westbrook.
The family will receive friends at Corbel’s in Leonardtown on Saturday December 12, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
