Born October 5, 1939 in Bradbury Heights, Maryland to the late Harriett Ann Berry and Jack Langley. Raised in Southeast Washington, DC, Marty left Washington to live in Florida where he took up the carpentry trade. After many years in Florida, he returned home, due to illness, and to be close to his family. He never once during his illness complained or ask ?Why me?. He enjoyed the time left with friends and family. For all who knew him, he was ?a good old Southeast boy? who will truly be missed.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Katherine M. Queen; sister Mary E. Spaller; grandson Steven Queen; son-in-law James Barlas; niece Pinky and her husband Robert Reilly; former wife Doris Carpenter and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 1041 Route #3 North Bldg. A Gambrills, MD 21054 or Hospice of St. Mary?s P. O. Box 625 Leonardtown, Maryland 20650.
