She spent her early years in Buffalo, NY and Demarest, NJ and graduated from Tenafly High School in Tenafly, NJ after which she attended Keuka College. Her husband?s naval career took the family to numerous locations throughout the United States. She returned to St. Mary?s County in 1967 and the family settled in St. Mary?s City in 1978.
Mrs. Neidhold owned and operated Breton House, first in Leonardtown and then in Lexington Park. She was a dedicated member of the community and served on the Board of The St. Mary?s County Developmental Center, performed ongoing volunteer service for The Navy Relief Society, St. Mary?s County Meals on Wheels, and Sotterly Plantation. Mrs. Neidhold and her husband were actively involved with The St. Mary?s River Yacht Club. She was a loving wife and devoted mother.
She is survived by her husband Carl of Millersville, MD, son Scott Terri of Liberty Township, OH, daughter Kim Michie James of Millersville, MD, and son Carl Caryn of Virginia Beach, VA, and grandchildren Scott and Caroline Neidhold, James and Ashlyn Michie, and Sean Neidhold. Also surviving is a brother William Lanigan of North Branch, NJ and sister-in-law Catherine Lanigan of Brick, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents and by her brother Donald Lanigan.
Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 47477 Trinity Church Road, St. Mary?s City, MD on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 1:00PM. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment immediately following at Trinity Church Cemetery.
