Melinda Suzanne Fisher, 25, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly of La Plata, Maryland died suddenly on July 2, 2007, in an automobile accident. Melinda was Culinary Pastry chef at the Paris and Mirage Hotels in Las Vegas. She was born at Greater Southeast Hospital in Washington, DC on August 21, 1981 and was raised in La Plata, Maryland. After High School she graduated from the Culinary Institute of America CIA in New York and became a very talented Pastry Chef. She began her career at the Ritz Carlton, in Orlando, Florida, before moving to Las Vegas. She loved to travel, and was preparing to move to France to expand her talents and further her career. Melinda was a free spirited, caring person who loved her family and friends dearly.

She is survived by her mother; Kimberly S. Parker, father; David B. Fisher, Stepmother; Karen L. Fisher, stepfather; Rocky Spaulding, sister; Angela Michelle Eric Reardon, brothers; Thomas B. Fisher and Andrew D. Fisher, Grandparents; Peggy and Bob Keesee, Joyce and Ben Parker, Britton A. Fisher, and Sandra Fisher, aunts; Jill Wise, Tracey Glenn Emmart, Jenny Wood, and Angie Leavitt, uncles; Todd Parker, Steven Cheryl Fisher, and Michael Fisher. Melinda was preceded in death by her step-father Scott D. Parker.

Friends may call on Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary?s Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Waldorf.
