Born on April 5, 1941 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Preston and Frances Elizabeth Clending Thorington. She lived in this area for 31 years. She was employed with St. Mary?s County Government doing clerical work.
Survived by children, David Edward Brown, IV of Mechanicsville, MD and Dana Lynne Brown of Lexington Park, MD, sister, Carol Lowery of Queen Anne County, grandchildren, David Wayne Bentley, Bethany Nicole Gearheart, Deanna Elizabeth L. Gearheart, and LeiLani Rose Biscoe.
A son Daniel P. Brown, a daughter Deann Elizabeth Brown and a sister, Joan Stevenson preceded her in death.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. in The Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Clyde Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Serving as Pallbearers will be: George Geoff, Joseph Windsor, Robert Gearheart, Donald Guy, Daniel Coleman, Thomas Baker, and Jennifer Ridgell.
