Reba Hisey Kozak “Grummy”, 91, of District Heights, MD passed away on July 26, 2016 surrounded by family. Reba was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on September 9, 1924 to the late John William Sigler and the late Fannie Moore Sigler. She retired from the C & P Telephone Company after 43 years of service. Following her retirement, she began her second career as a receptionist for Debbie’s Tax Service and continued to work up until December 2015. Reba’s work ethic was nothing short of admirable having worked for over 75 years. She had 3 loves: her family, the beach and the slots. Reba also enjoyed harness horse racing and bowling, both of which kept her busy and active for many years.
Reba was predeceased by her brothers, Marvin and Richard Sigler and her sister, Glenna Zirkle. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Taylor (Darrell), Debbie Stull (Dwight), Shelly Peton (Greg); brother, Fred Sigler; sister, Martha Jane Proctor; grandchildren, Jennifer Bortz (Mike), Kelly Jo Stull, Erin Vaira (Dave), Ben Stull, Brett Stull and Scott Peton; and great grandchildren, Victoria Vaira, Nathan Vaira, Maddie Bortz and Isaac Bortz.
Arrangements are being held by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
