Reinardo Umberto Garcia, 73, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, in Clinton, MD.
He was born on September 8, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to the late Reinardo John Garcia and Rosario Orlando Garcia.
Reinardo loved to spend his free time fishing, hunting and bowling love playing cards and winning. He was a member of the bowling league for many years. He was part of the Tri-County Barbershop quartet. Reinardo was involved in the Knights of Columbus at Immaculate Heart of Mary and he was part of the American Legion in Charlotte Hall. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, playing with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great-great grandchildren.
Reinardo is survived by his wife, Marjorie Hill, and his Ex-wife Ruby Jean Garcia of 43 years of marriage and his children: Jill Garcia of Oklahoma, Dawn Murphy (Daniel) of Mechanicsville, MD, Johnathan Garcia (Sheryl) of California, MD, and his step-daughters Angelique Hill and Alexis Hill , his 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and his sister Mary Scarfield of Gaithersburg, MD. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Christopher Garcia.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Deacon Juan Ortiz at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 23375 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers were his son John Garcia, son-in-law Daniel Murphy Sr., grandsons Daniel Murphy Jr, Jordan Garcia, Joshua Murphy, grandsons in law Jesse Pease, George Hill, dear friend Matt Menard. We the family thank everyone for everything they had done for my family Dawn Murphy.
