A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Mechanicsville, MD with Rev. Susan Carns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Richard Gardner McLaughlin passed away on November 22, 2014 at the age of 89. He was the loving first born of the late Mary Ernell McLaughlin. He served in the United States Navy pacific Theater, WWII. He graduated from Georgetown University Scholl of Foreign Service and University of Baltimore Law School.
He is survived by his four younger brothers, Robert, Eugene, Donald and Alan, and by sisters-in-law, Evelyn Patricia McLaughlin, Annette McLaughlin and Gabriele McLaughlin. Richard served his family and inspired his brothers by his positive example.
