Born on January 4, 1961, in Kingsville, TX, he was born the son of the late Donald Lee West, Sr. and Melvina Jane Rawlings West.
Robert moved to St. Mary?s County with his family in 1974 from Norfolk, VA. He was an avid football watcher and dedicated Cowboy fan. He enjoyed playing pinnacle and shuffleboard. He also enjoyed camping. Robert participated in the St. Mary?s Splash every year since it was founded.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ann Ronken West whom he married on February 6, 1998 in Leonardtown, MD, two children, Donald Robert West and Misty Ann Rice both of Lexington Park, MD, six siblings, Charles West of Waldorf, MD, Deborah Mutschler of Lexington Park, MD, Cheryl Stubbs of Lexington Park, MD, Valerie West of Norfolk, VA, Michael P. West of Lexington Park, MD, and William C. Brinsky of Mechanicsville, MD. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Lee West, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2004 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Callaway Baptist Church, Callaway, MD. The Reverend Daniel Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in the Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
The Pallbearers for Mr. West will be Bobby Horton, Mike Closner, Jr., John Fisher, Bill Brinsky, Forest Wose and Rob Mutschler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Closner, Sr., Bill Allen and Walter Muenzel.
