Robert Edward McCoy, Jr., 76, of Oxon Hill, MD passed away June 2, 2016 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. Born June 28, 1939 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Robert Edward McCoy, Sr. and Dorothy Taylor McCoy. Robert retired from the Federal Government as an Insulator/Steamfitter. He loved classic cars, old movies (especially cowboy movies) and slot machines.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert is survived by his wife Janice McCoy; daughters, Mary Frances Marinelli, Dorothy Elaine McCoy (Wayne Meade) and Dawn Marie McCoy (David Harrison); grandchildren, Nick, Amber, Tony, Daren and David and great grandchildren, Nicholas and Kaiden.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 5:00-8:00p.m. and on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June, 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols.
