Chasen M. Hughes receives a Certificate of Commendation from Major Ray Chastain (left), U.S. Army Retired, President of the Georgia Mountain Chapter, Military Officers Association of America. The presentation was made during graduation ceremonies at the University of North Georgia. He was also given a first set of “gold bars” and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army Military Intelligence Corps and will soon be entering Active Duty. Chasen is the son of Mark and Nadine Hughes of Lusby.
