Marijuana Smoker Arrested in Hollywood

On Wednesday, July 16, at 9:06 p.m., Woody Nathaniel Ward, 31 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans for possession of Marijuana. 

Ward was operating a blue Chevrolet Suburban on southbound Route 235 in the area of Rescue Lane in Hollywood when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. 

Upon contact with Ward, a moderate odor of Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Ward was found to be in possession of a partially burnt Marijuana cigarette and a small baggie of Marijuana. 

Ward was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
