You can’t escape the flowers and chocolates in the grocery stores, pharmacies, and just about anywhere they can sell them, so you know by now February is almost upon us. This year there’s another reason to look ahead and find a partner of a different kind.
Southern Maryland Men’s Neighborhood Pool League is holding its second annual Bob “Gabe” Grabrelcik Memorial Tournament on February 3, at Monk’s Inn in St. Inigoes (St. Mary’s County). There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes totaling $350, that will come along with the trophies and bragging rights.
It may still be January, but the tournament is a week on Friday, so it’s time to begin getting your team together. It costs $20 per person to enter the tournament, which is a doubles competition. Teams can sign up at Monk’s Inn on the evening of the tournament beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome, but you must be over 21 to enter.
