MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On April 3 at 1:42 p.m., crews responded to 39000 block of Summit Hill Drive, Mechanicsville for the report of a transformer fire. Units arrived on scene and did not the fire to be evident. Reports say that the incident has cause power outages throughout the area including a traffic light outage at the Route 5 and 6 intersection. SMECO has been notified and is responding. Use caution in the area.
