Vera’s White Sands in Lusby hosted its third Hawaiian Tropic International Model Search on Sunday, July 20, at 2 p.m. There were more than a few models that entered the contest in search of an entry into the Maryland State Finals.
Among Sunday’s contestants were Beth Silveri, Katrina Russell, Erin Tucker, Meagan Tieff, Kristina Lee, Sara Fogel, Francesca Capuano and April Simmons.
Meagan Tieff, who donned a black bathing suit took first place. Francesca in the green striped bathing suit took second. Beth Silveri wore a white bathing suit and took third.
The iconoclastic beach club has already hosted two contests – one on June 21 saw Meagan, Amber and Amber Lynn taking the first, second and third place titles, winning the opportunity to participate in the national Hawaiian Tropic contest later in the year. Contestants at the national level vie for modeling contracts and the chance to tour the country promoting Hawaiian Tropic tanning and skin care products.
Vera’s will host its fourth and last Hawaiian Tropic contest on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m.
