The mission of the Calvert and Charles County Toys-for-Tots Program is to collect new and unwrapped toys, and accept monetary donations for the purpose of purchasing toys during the months of October, November and December.

These toys will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in Calvert and Charles Counties. The primary goal of Toys-for-Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

The US Marine Corp Reserves, the Children’s Aid (Calvert County) and the Greater Jaycees of Waldorf (Charles County) have partnered for the 2010 campaign to better serve the less fortunate families of Calvert and Charles Counties.
All toys collected from the US Marine Reserve Corp drop off sites and monetary donations in Calvert and Charles Counties will be reported to the Marine Corp Toys-for-Tots Foundation and which will be used to help the less fortunate families of Calvert and Charles Counties.
