Waldorf, MD – On Nov. 8 at 1:45 p.m., authorities reported that the female passenger who suffered critical injuries from today’s early morning crash on Old Washington Road, has died.
The woman now identified as Gloria Holley Donawa, 69, of Fort Washington reportedly passed away a few hours after reaching a regional shock trauma center.
An investigation held by the Traffic Operations Unit is underway.
Waldorf, MD – An unidentified woman was critically injured in an early morning crash in Charles County Wednesday, Nov. 8, police reported. Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson reported the collision between a car and a tractor trailer truck occurred around 1 a.m. on Old Washington Road in the area of Kaine Place. Investigators reported the car struck the side of the tractor trailer. Richardson told TheBayNet.com that authorities were alerted to the crash by an OnStar signal from the car.
A 69-year-old female passenger in the car sustained critical injuries and was flown to a regional shock trauma center. The male driver of the car and the male operator of the truck were not injured.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Team is investigating the crash.
